Mindless Monday

Good Monday morning!

The Gallery pics will tell our Easter story this morning. Today, I am a woman of few words. Well, except to say...

1. I didn't take a ton of pics at Grandmother's house Friday night. I just enjoyed the time I got to spend with six teenagers... And I was very thankful the three dishes I prepared turned out okay. It's the little things.

2. I didn't take ANY pictures of the wedding I attended Saturday evening since I wasn't the hired photographer, but it was a lovely wedding on a lovely day. I smiled through the entire ceremony because the bride and groom looked so happy and excited and thrilled. NOTE - If I HAD taken my camera, I would have 100 pictures of the four year-old flower girl. She had curly red hair and was barefoot. She was so precious it almost hurt.

3. I was extremely disappointed Yucatan Trading was out of Butt Naked Candles. I do not understand how that happened. The sentence, "We had a run on Butt Naked Candles this week," still sounds so strange to me. But that is exactly what happened. After apologizing to Dawn (who won the Butt Naked Candle in last week's Candle Contest), and after she accepted my apology, I was still deeply saddened to leave the store empty-handed. NOTE - I'm going back tomorrow!

4. Watching teenagers go through their "teenage" Easter baskets was fun. I still enjoy filling up their baskets... and they definitely still enjoy receiving them.

5. Easter Sunday services were wonderful, and we arrived early enough to get seats. Our little Easter miracle.

6. Easter lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's was delicious. I was once again thankful my two dishes turned out okay.

7. Seeing my great-nephew, Matthew, was a highlight. He knows I have a "brown bag surprise" for him every time I see him now, and he comes up to me to check out his little bag of goodies. Yes, I have bought his love... but I prefer the term "bonded."

8. Hiding Easter eggs with a three year-old was very enjoyable. Especially when the three year-old squealed EVERY time he spotted an egg. Did I mention I LOVE three year-olds?

9. Coming home and watching Celebrity Apprentice with my beloved (Mikie) was a nice way to end the weekend.

10. Having the Faulkner Five together for another holiday... priceless!

Have a great Monday. I have a very good recipe to share with you tomorrow. I'll give you a hint. It's green! I also have a little Randomness going on in my head as I type this post. (Actually, I have a LOT of Randomness going on in my head ALL the time, but tomorrow I'll actually tell you about some of it!)
