Good Monday morning!
For any Newbies out there, Mindless Monday is the only day of the week The Gallery tells the story of the weekend, and the post is tiny. Almost nonexistent.
RANDOMNESS - It's just another day of "out of school" for us today... and we're loving it! Well, most of us. Roxie has basketball practice for a couple of hours this morning, and then a doctor's appointment later in the afternoon. For me, that would be an awful way to spend a day out of school, but Roxie loves basketball practice, and she happens to LOVE going to this particular doctor.
We're headed to a Sports Medicine doctor downtown because she has a tendon injury in one of her fingers. She can still play ball, but it will need to be repaired as soon as the season is over in two weeks.
The first time we went to this particular doctor's office (she had a deep bone bruise on her wrist), two doctors came into our room and spent the first ten minutes of the exam talking about how cute Roxie was. When the actual wrist examination finally began, another doctor wandered in, and he concurred with the first two doctors that Roxie was indeed "cute."
Needless to say, she's looking forward to a good day. Thankfully, the Sports Medicine office is beside a McDonald's which means one thing... Caramel Frappe'.
I know what you're thinking. "Belinda's already had her Caramel Frappe' for the month of January." That would be correct. However, I'm going to need it... unless one of the doctors examining Roxie today throws me a bone and tells me I look good for my age. (I'm thinking I will probably be ordering a Caramel Frappe' later this afternoon!)
Tuesday's recipe is excellent, and I will have much more to share with you on A Simple Life. Be sure to visit again.
Take care, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Sincerely,
The Enchanting Belinda (Mother of the Cute Roxie)
If you are new to A Simple Life, here's a little tip. There will ALWAYS be many, many pics at the end of each post. New pictures are added every day (Monday through Friday). If you want to get to the "picture" part of the blog, you have to keep scrolling down, down, down... but you will eventually find it! Thanks for visiting!

Friday...
Finally, some new basketball action shots.
The JV team had two 40-minute games Friday, so I thought I would just go ahead and start filming now!
And here's the obligatory Bryant Tuggle pic. He's a HUGE supporter of our baskeball team. Always has been... always will be. Well, until he gets his own driver's license!
Saturday...
We spent the day with the cousins Saturday. Monica, Amy, Roxie and I shopped at Brookwood, ate at Yolo's and went to the movies (Pirates 4). It was a great day, but the best part was our celebrity sighting...
That's right! Will Ferrell! (Please feel free to use your imagination. I know we did!)
Sunday...
Mikie's 50th Family Birthday Celebration! Everyone knows 50 year-old men LOVE the Green Lantern...and their wives really like Ryan Reynolds! (How cool would it be to have your picture on a birthday party plate package? Another goal, perhaps?)
What do you give a 50 year-old guys for his birthday? Cards... filled with money, Ricky Skaggs' concert tickets, a True Grit DVD and a Red Devil's Food Cake with Divinity Icing (from his Mom). It was a very good day!
Lovely Melia gave him the True Grit DVD. (I LOVE that movie!)
And it wouldn't be a birthday without a hug from Roxie!
