Weekend Happenings

Good Friday morning!

Wow! This week has just flown by, hasn't it? And it only took me four days to record "A Day in the Life... of ME!" The finished product is in the Gallery below.

RANDOMNESS #1 - I saw a commercial this morning. Crayola has invented COLORED bubbles. Oh, the gazillions of clear bubbles I have blown. Oh, how I wish I had a little one to blow COLORED bubbles with now.

I did notice they leave colored spots on the kids' clothing, but the commercial covered that, too. They say the bubble marks are completely washable.

I think I'm going to get some today just to have on hand. Maybe the beagles would like them.

RANDOMNESS #2 - I am fascinated by the fact Donald Trump is thinking about running for President. I don't know what to make of it. I stay away from politics on A Simple Life... which is one reason it remains "simple." But this is an interesting turn of events, isn't it?

I wish Tom Selleck would run. I would definitely vote for Tom Selleck.

RANDOMNESS #3 - After regaling you with my old work stories this week, you would not believe how many job offers came rolling in. It was amazing! I'm fielding offers as we speak!

Weekend Happenings

Mikie took Josh and Roxie to breakfast this morning, so their weekend started a little early. I was invited, but since I'm meeting Mom and Bev in Trussville at 10:00 a.m. sharp, I needed to stay home and get some things done. Plus, Austin is home, so I wanted to visit with him a little before he heads to work.

I know Austin has plans with Melia tonight, but the rest of us are up for grabs. We'll just have to see.

While Friday is pretty quiet (so far), Saturday is FULL. Austin is working (school work, as well as Chick work). Josh is taking the ACT, and then deciding between afternoon paintball OR the 3:00 p.m. Indy race with Mikie. He has a hard decision to make.

Roxie, Kendall and I are finally getting around to fulfilling Kendall's birthday book. Roxie and Kendall have been doing this since they were four or five. They make each other a book for their birthday describing page by page what will take place on a special fun-filled day.

Roxie and Kendall are getting makeovers, and then we're having a photo shoot. After the shoot, we're eating cupcakes at Yolo's before heading over to Hobby Lobby to pick out frames for their favorite pics.

We'll finish Saturday evening with movies and dinner at the house. I'm looking forward to our outing.

After church Sunday, Roxie and I are meeting the chick cousins and watching Soul Surfer.

Mikie and the guys are on their own for the afternoon... which they love. Guys relax a little better when the womenfolk are out of the house, I think.
