Milky Way Ice Cream

JULY SPECIAL GUEST HINTS - Here are a couple more hints about our Special Guest. I can't believe she'll be here on Thursday. June has to be the fastest month in history!

4. She was on the dance team in high school (and she still looks like she could be on a dance team in high school)!

5. She wears socks all the time, even when she sleeps. (That would drive me crazy!)

Austin and I will be having Root Beer Floats, I think. Mikie, Josh and Roxie will stick to the traditional Coke Floats. I can't think of an easier way to spend five or ten minutes together as a family. Appreciate the time together.

Milky Way Ice Cream

When we lived in Cullman, First Baptist had a Homemade Ice Cream Social each summer in the Fellowship Hall. I remember the first time I had homemade Milky Way Ice Cream. It was a life-changing experience, I tell you. I feel strongly anything made with SIX candy bars, condensed milk and chocolate syrup has absolutely no way to be anything but chocolate perfection. (If you feel guilty, use non-fat milk!)

6 Milky Way candy bars
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
1 small can chocolate syrup
3 quarts milk

1. Cook candy bars and condensed milk together and melt all candy.

2. Pour milk and chocolate syrup and mix in mixer.

3. Make ice cream according to manufacturer's instructions.

This ends our homemade ice cream series for the summer. Next Tuesday, I have an easy and delicious way to dress up dinner rolls. Austin begs for this weekly!
